The Waiakea Public Fishing Area has aways been a special place for me. I can remember as a boy of 12 with new rod in my hands fishing with my friends on the Wailoa river. We would always go to the "other" side of Wailoa State Park, away from the people and pavilions. just to fish in peace.
There is a huge mango tree that always provided welcome shade on hot summer days, it here where you will find the cache. This regular size container is hidden somewhere near the tree. I must confess, your GPS will go crazy around here so don't get too confused. I actually had to take several readings until I was satisfied, so I hope it is close.
Mosquitos and spiders are in full force, so come prepared, If you come across any trash, do what i did, and remove it. Malama the area amd it's surroundings. Please replace the cache exactly as you found it, and watch out for muggles. While your out there, cast a pole and make a day of it.
