Dentro de lo que constituye el Monte de Boadilla, bosque mediterráneo de encinas con zonas mixtas de pinos, fresnos y enebros, se sitúa este tesoro en un tranquilo rincón a modo de pradera salpicada de fresnos.
El fresno, con sus distintas variedades, suele ser un árbol imponente cuando alcanza cierta edad, de corteza gris pálida, lisa al principio y llena de surcos con los años. Sus flores son poco vistosas, de color rojo oscuro y sin pétalos.
Los ejemplares de fresno en este lugar son de un porte considerable.
