Geocache Description:

A combined course for Geocachers and others who want to learn how to identify British and non-native trees and shrubs from their bark, leaves, flowers, etc.  The course is FREE. Children are welcome. Runs from 2pm to 3.30pm. Drive in and park in the grounds.

Often Geocaches are hidden in or near trees - now learn how to identify the species using simple clues from Rosserllwyd the Geocaching Countryside Ranger.

We will walk through the grounds at Spier's near Beith and using the arboretum (tree park) you will be told about trees in an entertaining fashion (hopefully) and you will learn other facts that will help the acquired knowledge stick in your mind - unless your FFB that is :-)

It will take about 1.5 hours out of your life and will link with a 'Fungus Foray' on October 5th and a 'Foods from the Wild' on June 15th - they will be posted nearer the time.

See you there and then. Previous course participants are welcome back - you could always led a hand :-)
