About time we had a geocaching event in KAIAPOI in North Canterbury !!
Sunday 21 April 2013
11:30 am to 1pm
Kaiapoi Community Centre, 24 Sewell Street
As the weather forecast for this event is not looking too hot, the revised coordinates will get you to the entrance of the meeting room hired for this event. For the weather worriers, the venue is very comfortable, plenty of tables & chairs & access to kitchen with hot water to make your own brew/drink.
Bring friends & families and some lunch, brunch or snack to have a cosy catch up with caching mates. Then you're fuelled & ready before you head off to do more caching in the area!!
BaldEd has kindly prepared some new caches to be released at the CITO event. For the weather warriors, wet weather will not worry them for the CITO at 1pm, but for those wishing to keep warm or socialise a bit more, you are welcome to stay on.
After this social gathering, there is also a Kaiapoi CITO (Cache In Trash Out) event to mark International CITO weekend
See GC476WA for more details
Kaiapoi was badly hit by the first Canterbury earthquake in September 2010 and subsequent quakes that continued to rock the area. The area has undergone major changes & re-development since then. You may be surprised by the changes since your last visit.
Come along to Kaiapoi
Keep Calm, Carry On
Keep Caching !!
