Grímsey is an island 40 km north of the Icelandic mainland. There are about 100 people living on the 5 km2 small island.
On Grímsey you can find an camping site, swimming pool, supermarket, restaurant and two guesthouses.
There are two ways to get to Grímsey, by ferry or by airplane. The ferry takes 3 hours and the flight 30 minutes.
It's possible to combine the two ways of transportation by flying to Grímsey and taking the ferry back. Then you will have 6 hours to explore the Island.
If you are traveling in Iceland by car it may be easier to take the ferry both ways. Then you will have 4 hours on Grímsey, and 6 hours on the ferry. So remember to bring sea-sickness pills because the north Atlantic can be quite rough even in the summer.

The event willl start at 1215 at the road sign close to the given coordinates. The plan is then to walk around the island searching for hidden things, arctic terns and puffins. A visit to the restaurant in the afternoon for an late lunch is one other possible thing to do.
At 1545 we should be back at the harbour to be in time for the departure of the ferry Saefari, and that will also be end of the event.
