Des Moines Creek Rediscovered Traditional Cache
Geoboater: Since the trail has been reclaimed by nature to the point that even knowing where it should be I had to make my own new trail, I've decided to archive this missing cache rather than replace it. Thanks to all who visited over the past 6 years.
I stopped by during a maintenance run here in the park and found things quite different from when originally hid. Following the now-vague game trail that was once broad & obvious, including bushwhacking most of the way through salmon berry bushes 2-3 feet taller than me, I finally arrived at GZ. After :10 minutes searching the original hide location and what possible hiding areas I could reach within 15 feet of that, I determined the cache is now missing.

Recently a section of the path along Des Moines Creek, hidden from view for years, has been cleared of underbrush and blackberry vines so it may now be used. This cache was placed to entice you to visit "the path less travelled".
You are searching for a camouflaged lock'n'lock container, approximately 5" x 7" x 3" (either a large "small" or a small "regular", depending on your point of view). Terrain could be 1.5 -3, depending on the season; I'll go with a 2.
Original contents were a pedometer, a small AA Mag Light, a magnetic thermometer, a blue pig key fob, a small first aid kit, a lapel pin from the 2005 World Ice Carving Championships, and a geocoin.
