GC476E4 Leftover Candy Picnic and Egg Hunt (Event Cache) in New Jersey, United States created by Central Jersey Geocachers

This cache has been archived.

Ericles: Every has logged in I believe and all of the trackables have been grabbed from the inventory so it is time to archive the egg-hunt. It will be tough to find another location that works as well as this one did for an egg-hunt but I'll see what I can do for next year. [:)][:X][^][?][:o)][;)][:O]

Geocache Description:

Meet us for a hoppy little picnic and geo-egg hunt!
Huber Woods - Middletown, NJ - Sunday April 14th 12:00

Spring is in bloom! Time to celebrate by eating up everyone else's leftover candy from Valentines and Easter!

The picnic begins at noon. We'll have an egg hunt for the kids in the grass around the picnic area at 1:00. For the more adventuresome, Eggstra special Geo-Eggs will be hidden around the park for everyone to enjoy.

Besides any leftover candy attendees may bring, we'll have some other snacks and drinks. If candy isn't your thing feel free to bring whatever you would like to enjoy or share. The event officially lasts until 6:00. The buildings lock-up at 4:00 and the rest of the park closes at 8:30.

Huber Woods is an underutilized gem in the Monmouth County Park System. It features 366 acres, 8 miles of trails, an Environmental Center, Reptile House, discovery trail/garden and all manor of wildlife including deer, fox and of course lots of rabbits.

In the event of serious April Showers the event will go on though we may be inside the environmental center. If you have any doubts check the cache page the morning of the 14th.
