Geocache Description:

This is meant to be an easy hide. You are looking for a magnetic film cannister at the end of a guard rail. Bring a writing instrument. I selected a location that provides plenty of room to pull safely off the road. US-79 is technically a north-south highway. This cache is on the southbound side.

Consider this a payback for a couple of area cachers that helped me quite a bit. Each cache in the series will highlight a famous University of Illinois alum.

Although I usually hate them, brief logs are okay. However, if you find several in the series, I would appreciate one longer log that describes your experience.

Nancy Brinker was born in Peoria and graduated from the University of Illinois. She is most famous as the founder and CEO of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which was named after her sister. Both Brinker and Komen suffered from breast cancer. In addition, Brinker served as U.S. Ambassador to Hungary from 2001-2003. she was also Chief of Protocol for President George W. Bush. She is currently a Goodwill Ambassador for the World Health Organization. In 2009, President Barack Obama honored Brinker with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
