Consider this a payback for a couple of area cachers that helped me quite a bit. Each cache in the series will highlight a famous University of Illinois alum.
Although I usually hate them, brief logs are okay. However, if you find several in the series, I would appreciate one longer log that describes your experience.
Hugh Hefner was born and raised in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois 1949 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Creative Writing and Art. He took only two and a half years to complete his undergraduate work. Upon graduation, we went to work for a reputable men's magazine as a copywriter. He subsequently left that job in 1952 when he was denied a raise. He then sold his furniture and raised additional capital from investors, including his mother, to start his iconic adult magazine. The first issue of the publication, which came out in December 1953, featured Marilyn Monroe. Hefner's enterprise forever changed the meaning of the word "bunny." His daughter, Christie, is now in charge of the family business.
