Valentine Sports Park
The complex is used regularly by professional foreign soccer teams, such as Danang City FC (Vietnam), Yokohama FC (Japan) Shenzheng Jianlibao (China), and the Fijian, Indonesian and Malaysian national teams. The complex is also used throughout the year by the NSW Institute of Sport squads, Football NSW’s Coaching and Development department and the internationally renowned High Performance coaching program.
It is currently undergoing a $5m redevelop,with the hope of turning it into a world class football facility with both natural and artificial turf .
The entire project, will eventually cost more than $16m, and will provide Football NSW with a football, sporting, educational and community precinct. Work is scheduled to be completed in January 2014,"
"These improvements will allow national level teams to use the venue as a training base, and potentially it could be a training site or base camp for teams in the AFC Asian Cup in 2015,"
