One of the advantages of living in Petone is that there are many opshops to visit along Jackson St and I enjoy fossicking amongst the trash and treasures.
One of the disadvantages of living in Petone is that there are many opshops. I often see interesting items and think "That will make a good cache container" and end up buying it. It's about time I did something with the containers I have stockpiled.
This cache, a small red container containing just a pen and logbook, is placed along a track by the Korokoro stream, with best access from Cornish St. It can be reached by taking just one step off the path. The track is narrow with steep drops in places, so take care with young children.
The Oregon struggled in the narrow valley, so if you find the co-ordinates out, please feel free to post your own.
