Ballymena Bridges - Victor
This cache is hidden at the bridge over The Braid River between Ballymena and Broughshane at an area known as Currells.
As you will see there are two bridges here, an old traditional 4 arch stone bridge, and the modern replacement concrete version.
While a nice spot for a Ballymena Bridges cache this location also used to be the homestead od a famous Ballymena character.
Victor Surgenor was Ballymena's infamous tramp. he lived in a wooden crate structure on the other side of the modern bridge. he would spend his days roaming the town, always with a bottle of drink in his hand.
