Geocache Description:


The Georgia Geocachers Association invites you to join us on Saturday, April 13th for a fun day on beautiful Jekyll Island, GA!


We will be meeting at Pavilion #1 at the South Dunes picnic area.
Jekyll Island is known for it's beautiful scenery and rich history.
Local geocacher Gunguy&fam has generously created a fun historical scavenger hunt for this event. This hunt will take you on a tour of many of the historic locations around the island, several of which have caches nearby. During your tour you will need to answer questions about the locations you visit. Scavenger hunt sheets will be handed out beginning at 10:00am at the posted coordinates. This will give you four hours to tour the island and return to the South Dunes pavilion by 2:00pm for the GGA monthly meeting and announcement of the winners.

There are limited eating establishments on Jekyll Island, so you are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch if you so desire. The South Dunes area where we are meeting also has beach access if you'd like to spend the day in the sun. Water and light snacks will be provided. Donations of snacks, drinks, and door prizes are welcome as always.
