The town of Ohakune, at the foot of Ruapehu can be boom or bust.
Much work has been done to attract summer time visitors with nearby cycle trails and walking opportunties.
But it is boom time in winter - when snow fanactics arrive.
Any season you can walk across the swing bridge and take a seat on this special seat.
A traditional small cache - a 400ml sistema is tucked away under the seat. Look for it on a custom made shelf made for the cache. Return it sitting stably on the shelf when done. Pencil should NOT be put into the log bag, as that encourages holes in the bag.
