This was Nomads' first cache. It was originally hidden on Saturday
the 10th of March 2001, with the help of friends Terry and Dianne,
and Ray's son Daniel, and his friend Susan.
On the 27th of January 2008, we visited the cache with the
intent of re-stocking it, however we found that the original cache
container was beyond use, allowing water to collect in the cache.
Consequently we have re-located the cache to a more protected
location, using the container kindly left by ian-and-penny on their
visit of the 27th of October 2007. Our thanks for their
contribution to the cache. The cache is no longer an ofset cache as
the published co-ordinates (S 37° 40.080 E 147° 22.128) now give
the cache location. We have also reduced the difficulty and Terrain
rating. You will be required to walk through grass undercover. The
ground surface was visible when the cache was hidden. This may
change with the seasons.
Suitable long pants and solid shoes for hiking are highly
recommended to protect from scratches and the possibility of
snakes.
The access road to the cache location is suitable for 2WD. Good
picnic facilities are available at this location (no water
available), and also at the Den of Nargun (water available). Enjoy
the hunt, and the view from the lookout.
