Take a hike on one of my favorite little trails in Homer.  You'll pass through many micro-ecosystems.  Different times of year provide vastly different views and experiences.  During the summer, wild raspberries, trailing raspberries, nagoon berries and more can be found along the trail.  During the winter, it is a snowy wonderland with brief breaks from the snow in the dense forest areas.  Spring and fall are the transition seasons where you can see the world beginning to emerge, and then watch it again as it huddles up for winter.  Interpretive signs along the way explain some of the local flora and fauna.

Mosquitos or ice may be present, depending on the season, so come prepared!  Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a rest while watching for wildlife any time of year.

Recent high use of the trail has led to a lot of erosion and wear & tear on the trails and near the platform. Please tread lightly. Happy Caching!
