In the early 1900’s many people lived in these forests.
This is one of the few remaining sites where you can still see any sign of this past occupation. There was previously a stone foundation, but this was covered over when road washouts where repaired. Apart from the clearing there is a couple of weedy tree species that where planted.
The only access is via track 15 parking at its junction with Acheron Way.
