In this part of the word stag has 2 meanings.
1) Male Deer
2) Dead tree
This is a stag tree, and it is very precious as a home for wildlife. It is rotting on the inside that means animals can dig through it easily and provide warmth. Insects are actively returning the wood to the earth which also makes a meal for birds, mammals and reptiles. Smaller creatures can also use the cracks to escape and hide from predetors.
Dont head too far off the track, if your unsure consider that, to find the cache you will need to head to the lower side of the stag and the cache will be found under a rock.
The only access is by parking at the junction of track 15 and Acheron Way.
