Geocache Description:

Welcome to my 129th Geocache hide.  Another cache to "give back" to the caching community in Melbourne.

This is a magnetic micro cache hide, located just south of Heathcote Junction / Wandong, in a favourite spot of mine.  It is a small rest area, but is interesting to me because of what you can find here....  Fossils.  That right, there are Middle Palaeozoic (300 to 440 Myo) fossils here.  The fossils are of shells, embedded in a particluar type of stone here.

I am not going to say to much more, for the simple reason that I am developing a nearby Earth Cache, which will be up and running soon hopefully.  So, have a look in some of the nearby mudstone deposits, see if you can find a fossil or two.

I have given a good hint.  This is not about creating a difficult hide, but about bringing you to this wonderful spot.  As with all my caches, the usual warning ALWAYS BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR SNAKES, SPIDERS, ETC, ESPICIALLY WITH THE KIDDIES.

Enjoy, BL.
