Das Höfe-Ensemble Paratoni
Datierung
Erstmals erwähnt in Tarnellers Höfechronologie 1550 als Pera-
thanhof in S.Christein mulgrei.
Eingekerbte Jahreszahl auf dem Firstbalken des Hofes dürfte
auf die Ersterbauung im Jahre 1326 hinweisen.
Beschreibung
Das Höfe-Ensemble Paratoni oberhalb von St. Christina gele-
gen, thront auf der Sonnenseite des Tales in unmittelbarer
Nachbarschaft zu den beiden Höfen Pertëut und Crëpa. Die
betagte Hofstätte stellt einen Grödner Paarhof dar, wobei das
Wohnhaus vom Futterhaus, Stall und Stadel umgeben wird.
Paratoni wurde im Laufe der Jahrhunderte zweigeteilt. Mit der
Zeit wurde das romanische Wohnhaus nochmals erweitert,
sodass um 1830 bis 1880 vier Familien mit etwa 44 Personen
dort Platz fanden.
Besonderheit
Das alte Wohnhaus besitzt einen besonders hohen, gemauer-
ten Unterbau und besteht aus einem gezimmerten, vorkragen-
den, pilzförmigen Obergeschoß. Durch die Situation am steilen
Hang ergab sich die Notwendigkeit unter der talseitigen Keller-
front einen Sockel aufzumauern, wofür große Steinblöcke ver-
wendet wurden. Die Mauerer- und Steinmetzarbeit ist sorgfältig
durchgeführt worden: die Kellermauer auf großen Eckquadern
aufgebaut sowie der Bogen der Kellertür aus Keilsteinen
zusammengesetzt.
Das zwei Meter darüber weit vorkragende, hölzerne Wohnge-
schoß wirkt wie schwebend über dem Berghang.
Ursprünglich befanden sich bergseitig Stube und Küche sowie
talseitig die Schlafkammern. Nach der Teilung des Hofes
wurde die Raumfolge unwillkürlich verändert und die beiden
Paratoni-Hof heute
In den vergangenen Jahrhunderten wurde Paratoni wiederholt
erweitert und umgebaut, sodass wir bereits seit vielen Jahr-
zehnten ein langsam gewachsenes und durch den Familienzu-
wachs weiter entwickeltes Hof-Ensemble erkennen.
Heute wird der Hof nur im östlichen Trakt bewohnt und bewirt-
schaftet. Der westlich gelegene Wohnraum ist zur Zeit leer ste-
hend, da die Familie in einem Neubau Platz gefunden hat.
Allgemein kann behauptet werden, dass der Hof Paratoni heute
noch in einem guten Bauzustand ist. Der westliche Wohnbe-
reich des zentralen Hofteils hingegen müsste saniert und revi-
talisiert werden.
Durch die Sanierung und die Nutzung dieser Hofstätte, soll der
richtige Umgang mit der bäuerlichen Architektur hervorgeho-
ben und gleichzeitig unsere Bevölkerung für die Mitverantwort-
lichkeit bei der Erhaltung unseres Erbes aufmerksam gemacht
werden.
Als Kulturgut und wichtiges Identifikationsobjekt wurde Parato-
ni unter Denkmalschutz gestellt, damit dieses unvergleichliche
Zeugnis bäuerlichen Lebens und dieses für das Grödner Tal-
bild markante Architekturbeispiel auch für die Nachwelt erhal-
ten bleibt.

La casa è circondata da stalle e fienili.
Paratoni è stata divisa nel corso dei secoli. Con il
tempo la casa romana è stato ulteriormente estesa,
dal 1830-1880 a quattro famiglie con circa 44 persone.
Peculiarità
La vecchia casa è fatta di mattoni
alla base e di legno, esce come un fungo dal pavimento.
L'arco della porta della cantina é intagliata di cornici.
Maso di Paratoni di oggi
Nei secoli passati, il maso Paratoni é stato ampliato
