Redmond Art Tour
As you take your art tour, the five coordinates provided will take you to various sculptures around town. At each stop, you will need to gather information to find the final stage.
Waypoint 1: N 44° 16.181 W 121° 10.964
Begin your journey at the posted coordinates. This bronze is “Air Traffic Control” by Greg Congleton.
A = the number of talons minus 7
Waypoint 2: N 44° 16.402 W 121° 10.581
Your next stop is “Turtle Island” by Joe Elliot. You might need to park and walk closer to this one.
B = number of animals on island plus 5
C = number of animals on ground plus 4
Waypoint 3: N 44° 16.373 W 121° 10.515
This is another bronze sculpture you will need to park and walk to, “Dignity” by Rodd Ambroson.
D = number of objects in basket
E = number of bows plus 2 (don’t overthink this one, go with the obvious answer)
F = third digit of year placed
G = fourth digit of year placed
Waypoint 4: N 44° 16.190 w 121° 10.316
The fourth piece of art is “Thoughts of Flight”, by Jerry Werner. This is an easy drive by.
H = number of blue objects on sculpture plus 3
Waypoint 5: N 44° 17.076 w 121° 10.440
Drive just north of Redmond for the last bronze sculpture, “Western Swing” by Greg Congleton.
I = number of feet NOT touching the ground plus 2 (the ground in the sculpture, not the ground you are standing or driving on). Be sure to count all the feet, boot-clad or not.
J = number of tails
