This is a brick barge that was left in the Minisceongo creek over 100 years ago, you can canoe / kyack around it while exploring the creek, You will need a canoe / kyack / rowboat to get to this cache. It is a large bison tube with a log only, DON"T FORGET YOUR PEN. Parking is on beach rd. at the Haverstaw Canoe / Kyack launch on beach rd.
Brick barges were used to transport brick out of this area from the mid 1800's to the early 1900's. This is one that was left behind. It is a nice trip along the creek that is slow moving, HIGH TIDE IS RECOMMENDED because of the many mud flats at LOW TIDE, You will see fish / birds / deer / turtles. While paddling along.CONGRATS to Team Geofrog on a well earned FTF. I knew you would be back !!!
