How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This location is Spruce Park in a small old cut growth wooded area next to the basketball court.  NOTE: Do not remove container from its location.  It can be accessed with no need to move it from its location.   You will need to view the hint for final access.

My company patents and manufactures a variety of innovatie security products and I live and breath locks!  This is not a commercial plug , only a preface as to why I am choosing the style of containers.  My work and geocaching passions combined!  Our family enjoys geocaching and I wanted to start a series of geocaches featuring creative uses of locks.   The backgrounds will never be the current hide but, rather, point a hint to a future or current hide elsewhere.

Park History
The park property was first owned by Congdon family, and purchased in 1952 by William R. Marshall and Louise Burnett Marshall. In 1991 the Marshall family sold the property to the City for development of a park in their neighborhood. The park was developed in 1993 and 1994.
