Geocache Description:

Canada during winter
Moncton, Canada in winter.

On March 1st, I started an exciting journey: I moved from Moncton, Canada to Wellington to start a PhD at Victoria University of Wellington. It was quite a move: 15,000 km away from home, going back to school after a decade, in a city I've never visited and where I don't know a soul. And what better way to meet people than to host a geocaching event.

This event is more than just a meet and greet, however. Before I left Canada, I hosted an event there I called Race to Middle-earth – There and Back Again. At this event, I collected 20 geocoins and trackables from Canadian cachers. These coins are in a race to get back to their owners in Canada, and this is why I am hosting this event: if you are willing to help move a geocoin along, please take one and help get them back to Moncton, Canada in whichever way you can. The coins have travelled 15,000 km already, and who knows how much further they will travel before they get back to the Northern Waste. Just please don't detour them through Mordor.

Please log your Will Attend below so that I can ensure there are enough tables available for everyone. I look forward to meeting some Kiwi cachers.

Thanks to boxhill for suggesting the venue.
