First Time Cachers Start Here. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SeeYouSpaceCorgi: Unfortunately, I think after 7 and a half years of this cache being active, I'm making the decision to archive it for good.

As my first ever cache it was wonderful receiving updates and messages of the experiences of so many finding it, however I think it's time to pack it up and make the area available for others to share their caching opportunities in the local area. Seeing a few recent DNF logs on the page prompted me to go out and find it, and sadly, it truly does appear to be missing.

Thank you everyone for being a part of this experience, and I wish us all luck in contributing to other caches in the future.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A quick little cache for beginners. Please use the walk-in areas of the fence line, keeping to the path, along with geocaching ettiquite and all should be peachy :)

Lovely estate to live in, shame there aren't already any caches inside. Parking close by.

Started some small swappables to get things going, along with a pencil, but we all know pencils go (*clap* la-di-da-di-da) walkabout.

No but seriously bring a pencil.

As stated above, please use the designated walk-in areas of the fence line, stick to paths and use geocaching etiquette when retrieving the cache.

Tips for finding a cache:

Make sure to be sneaky, we don't want any muggles to get curious and harm the cache. Try to scope out areas where *you* would hide the cache, not only will this help you find the cache quicker, areas where you'd think to hide the cache will expand and grow in number the more caches you find! Also, if among bushland, desire lines will show you where others before you have been.

Tips for leaving a log:

Log books vary, so if unsure what kind of log to leave behind, look at the other ones left before you. Log books are a great record of who's been there physically, so if in doubt, live by "The more the merrier" and make your log as short as possible, leaving as much room for other people as you can!

When back online, use your log to discuss your experience! Feel free to express as much or as little as you like, however, a geocache log should be treated as a reflection of the cache itself. If you really appreciate the cache and your experience finding it, let the cache owner know, don't let all their hard work go unnoticed!
