King's Inns is the school for the country's barristers. The building was designed by the renowned architect, James Gandon, and building commenced in 1800.
King's Inns, Dublin was founded in 1541 during the reign of King Henry VIII. It was originally based in the Four Courts site, but following the construction of the present Four Courts complex, the Honourable Society of King's Inns commissioned this magnificant building.
The parkland to the front of the building has been open to the public for the past 125 years. It opens daily from 7.30 am until 7.30 pm.
The back entrance, from Henrietta Street, is equally interesting. Henrietta Street is a very fine cobble stone street, often used in film scenes. It has some well-preserved Georgian buildings.
The King's Inns Library is located at the top of the street on the left hand side, and is well worth checking out.
The cache is placed outside the park, and is a camoflaged magnetic micro. You will need to reach down.
