The journey to this site was due to the mention of the ravine by the owner of Strongs Station cache in the description. It is truly awesome and well worth the trip!
This cache is placed in celebration of our beautiful granddaughter Sequoia's 17th birthday today! This ravine is quite a sight to behold with all the redwood trees (Sequoia Sempervirens) and the peace that comes with these surroundings. Park at Strongs Station gate on Hwy 36 and proceed along trail to Strongs Station cache and the bluff overlooking the Van Duzen River. Continue past on trail until you come to a set of stairs. Use caution when on the stairs. They are safe but should be taken slowly while holding on to handrails. Children should be supervised. Cache is on far side of the ravine. Container is camo pipe and large enough to hold swag. Bring a pen and a flashlight.
