This is part of the NHL series. The Detroit Red Wings were founded in 1926when they were called the Detroit Cougars. In 1930 they became the Falcons and it was not until 1932 when they took on the name Red Wings. They play in Joe Louis Arena in Detroit Michigan. They have won 11 Stanley Cups : 1935/36,1936/37,1942/43,1949/50,1951/52,1953/54,1954/55,1996/97,1997/98,2001/02 and 2007/08.
Local St.Andrews boy Darren Helm #43 played on the 2007/08 Stanley Cup winning team and returned to his home community Center with the cup. My two year old son had a chance to have his picture taken with the cup, thanks Darren.
We are hiding a cache here and naming it Detroit Red Wings to honour him.May need a TOTT.
