Geocache Description:

CITO event in Sunnyvale Baylands Park

The CITO will take place in this great park nestled between the Twin Creeks Baseball Complex and the Baylands Trail. Come out and earn your 2013 CITO souvenir!

A Duck, a Bear, and a charming gentleman invite you to come out for a fun-filled CITO event in Sunnyvale Baylands Park! Quack quack….grrrrhhhh!

Date: Sunday, April 21st, 2013

Time: Noon to 3p

Cost: FREE - the $6 daily parking fee will be waived for event participants

This event is taking place during The 11th Annual Cache In Trash Out Weekend.

Geocachers attending this or any other official CITO Event on April 20, 21 or 22 (or all three!) will earn a 2013 CITO Souvenir for their Geocaching profile.

Bring: Gloves, sunglasses, sunblock, hats, a sense of camaraderie and adventure! Garbage bags will be provided. The CITO can also be done via bike, if a person in your party has a bike trailer big enough to haul around a garbage bag.

We will be bbq'ing hot dogs, links, and some sort of veggie option. Feel free to bring your own snacks and/or something additional to share potluck style.

Where to meet: Meet at the coordinates, located in the Eucalyptus Grove Picnic Area, from 1130a-1200n to sign the log, pick up a map, and grab a hot dog. BBQ pits are also available if you prefer to diversify your lunchtime offerings. The CITO event will begin at 12 noon, following brief announcements. If you are running late, please be sure to check in at the meeting area when you arrive. Somebody will be available at this location throughout the event.

After the CITO event is over, feel free to stay and enjoy the park, which includes trails connecting to the Baylands trails, a playground, and an informative native plants garden.

Park Hours: The park gate is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to one half hour after sunset

No dogs allowed: To protect wildlife, pets are not allowed in the park (so, I guess no cats either).

Special Thanks to the Sunnyvale Parks Department for their support of this event!
