4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Reverand John Smithers came to the Swan River colony in 1840 at the request of the Wesleyan Group which included Joseph Hardey. In 1844 the Rev John Smithies arrived in the area and established the Mission Farm House (now long disappeared) on the shores of Lake Goollelal. Smithies plan was to establish a Wesleyan Mission to teach the local Aborigines the rudiments of European farming. The project failed.
