Welcome to the "Haunted St. Croix Valley" series!
Did you know that Stillwater and it's surrounding communities are host to several different ghosts and haunts? This series will touch on three of the most well known.
If you are driving towards Stillwater from 694 and turn south onto Demontreville Trail at just the right time of night.... you may become witness to a famous ghost that haunts the nearby Jesuit Retreat House on your left about a mile down. Here's the story:
"There is a ghostly monk dressed in a brown robe that runs out onto the road just in front of the monestary between the hours of midnight and one o'clock in the morning. This monk will run out right in front of your car and then completely disappear in front of your eyes. He is described as being tall, thin and young. Perhaps in his 20s or early 30s."
For the cache, enter the park on Nightingale Blvd, right by the large, wooden sign for it. You will have to enter in sort of an awkward way, right next to a house, but it is definitely public land.
Please keep track of the number inside the lid, as you need it to fulfill the Haunted St. Croix Night Cache, http://coord.info/GC4RD5P :) Happy hunting.
