Geocache Description:

A couple of years ago I moved to Jourdanton, Texas. Getting to know the area, I noticed that the nearby town of Charlotte's roads looked like a web. The children’s' classic "Charlotte's Web" immediately came to mind. It turns out that this wasn't a mistake. The town was originally laid out to look like a wagon wheel.

I decided to recreate the book in geocaches. Each of the caches is located on a spoke of the wheel, or strand of the web. And each one recalls a detail of the book.

All of the containers are micros. They are pill bottles of various sizes with a variety of camouflage pattern duck tape. Most are zip tied to the barbed wire of a fence or a branch of mesquite or other brush.

Charlotte's Web: Wilbur

Wilbur is the main characater of the book. This runt of a pig is first saved by the little girl, Fern. His life is later repeatedly saved by Charlotte and her web.
