Het gebied Woensel-Noord is ingedeeld in vier wijken en 21 buurten.
WoensXL is een winkelcentrum en officiele buurt in de wijk Ontginning, in het stadsdeel Woensel-Noord in de Nederlandse stad Eindhoven.
In 1971 werd met enthousiasme gesproken over de opening van Winkelcentrum Woensel. Het eerste semi-overdekte winkel-centrum in Noord Brabant was een feit.
Dat Winkelcentrum Woensel ook in de 21ste eeuw mee gaat met de ontwikkelingen van deze tijd blijkt wel wanneer u een bezoek brengt aan WoensXL zoals het centrum tegenwoordig door het leven gaat.
Na een grondige verbouwing werd het centrum opnieuw aangepast aan deze tijd. De kracht van WoensXL is dat er een grote variatie aan winkels te vinden is. Alle winkels vullen elkaar aan. Het uitgebreide en gevarieerde winkelaanbod is dan ook uniek te noemen.
Een vast team van security-medewerkers als ook het management zorgt ervoor dat het centrum veilig, schoon en heel is. Het centrum heeft een eigen magazine waarvan de inhoud voorziet in aanbiedingen en informatie over de winkeliers.
Het winkelcentrum telt meer dan 160 winkels, en daarmee is dit het grootste wijk-winkelcentrum buiten de Randstad.
Ook de woontoren Porthos staat bij het winkelcentrum.

WoensXL is a shopping mall and official neighborhood in the District Ontginning, in the city part Woensel-Noord in the Dutch city of Eindhoven.
In 1971 people spoke with enthusiasm about the opening of Winkel Centrum Woensel (the Mall of Woensel). The first semi-covered shopping center in Northern Brabant was born.
Shopping Centre Woensel moved ahead as it has developed itself into the 21st century, as you will see when you are visiting WoensXL, as the center now goes through life.
After a thorough renovation, the center was again adapted to this time. The strength of WoensXL is that there is a wide variety of stores. All shops are complementary to each other. The extensive and varied shopping is therefore unique.
A team of security staff as well as the management ensures that the center is safe, clean and undamaged. The center has its own magazine whose contents provide offers and information about retailers.
The mall has over 160 stores, thus making it the largest shopping district outside the Randstad.
The tower Porthos is located at the edge of the mall.
