Geocache Description:

As my mom would have said, this is the kind of place that had to have sunlight piped in, it was so far out of the way. You might be able to navigate here by road map, but your best bet is to punch the coordinates into your street navi, or even better, load the .gpx file in there. I had been there twice in the last 20 years, and would have been hopelessly lost without GPS to bring me back.

There are at least three members of my family buried here. Probably more than that, really, but I'm not sure about the family relationships of the others.
It all began with my Great-Great-Grandfather, Jacob Brock. His name at birth was Stephen Bradham. He and his father were not on the best of terms, and finally, over some disagreement, Stephen killed his father. Not wanting to stick around and face the legal consequences, Stephen fled, as many in similar circumstances did in those antebellum days, to Texas. He changed his name to Jacob Brock, and he was the grandfather of my grandmother, Jessie Brock.




My mom and her brothers were Jessie's offspring. My Uncle Sidney and Uncle Ernest (we called him Uncle Red) are also buried here in Seaton Cemetery. It took a couple of trips to find them. We were looking for vertical stones, but it turned out they both had only the flat military markers.
