Geocache Description:


My first cache placed ever.  While you search for the cache you may notice the railroad tie house in the yard.   This house use to be by the Humbolt river and was moved to this location in 1940.  Some of the insulation placed between the ties were newspapers with the dates on them.  Articles of Adoph Hitler and the Nazi party abounded in the news print.  Many houses in Elko are made of railroad ties since this is one of the major railroad towns of the late 19th century.
