A short walk from nearby parking, along a concrete pathway, will have you at a nice spot to watch the Dubbo XPT and freight trains as they head along the main Western Line.
From the western foot of the Blue Mountains, the Western Line was extended to Wallerawang by 1870, Tarana in 1872, Bathurst in 1876, Orange in 1877 reaching Wellington in 1880 and Dubbo in 1881.
WARNING - Cache as it has a VERY strong magnet inside.
