Geocache Description:

A nice easy to grab Church Micro, hidden just outside the graveyard of Lickey Hills Church

Lickey Church, also known as Holy Trinity, sits at the top of the Lickey Hills situated between Twatling Road and Warren Road on the Birmingham Road. Lickey is an Ecclesiastical Parish, which was created in 1858 from Bromsgrove Ancient Parish & Catshill Ecclesiastical Parish It came under the Archdeaconry & Diocese of Worcester until 1905, when transferred to the Archdeaconry & Diocese of Birmingham I am waiting for some information back from the church historian before I can update this listing accurately, but in the mean time, the church is a fascinating building with some great features - check out the porch, the interesting stained glass windows and exterior bells... The church has two graveyards, the one that surrounds it, and another further up the hill, with a fascinating Lytch Gate that was recently renovated In the main graveyard a couple of local celebrities are buried, and whilst you are free to wander around, please be respectful of what is underfoot
