Geocache Description:

The name of this cache has nothing to do with the location.  Reef Warriors are a group of watermen and women who enjoy the beach life.  We are windsurfers, sailors, kiters, stand-up paddleboarders and surfers. We marvel at the sunsets beauty and are amazed by the power of Lake Erie.

The parking co-ordinates are N 43 06.639 W 079 09.002.  The location is where Niagara Central Railway rails once crossed Garner Road several hundred feet south of Thorold Stone Road between Niagara Falls and Thorold. This railway, incorporated in 1881 (with the never-fulfilled high hopes of running a line from Niagara Falls to Hamilton) was a steam line by 1887.  In 1899 it became part of the Niagara, St.Catharines & Toronto system and was electrified and became known as the NS&T "Main Line" route which streetcars took from Niagara Falls through Thorold and then to St.Catharines. In Niagara Falls this line ended at Bridge Street and River Road near the Whirlpool Bridge and in St.Catharines it ended at a station on the north west corner of St.Paul Street and James Street. A large ammo box filled with lots of kid treasures inside! This is a great family cache! A twoonie for the first find!
