Geocache Description:

The Chapel Well lies at the bottom of the pedestrian only Chapel Lane off Kirk Vennel near the River Irvine and not far from Glebe Primary School. Pupils from the school did a project on the Chapel Well with the North Ayrshire Council's District Ranger and placed this cache as a celebration of their work.

Park at the main road. Walk down the lane until you get to the river and the well is in the wall on the left hand side. The cache is hidden nearby, in the copse on the left hand side of the lane. For those who have been on the 'Tree Identification for Geocachers' courses then its Acer pseudoplatanus - Sycamore or Celtic Maple. 'The Chapel Well, Irvine' features on my YouTube history video as well as Wikipedia.
