Geocache Description:

The cache has been placed at the entrance of the Drupkelders hiking trail and Forest Edge Resort. We have placed the cache in this location as a permit is needed to hike to Drupkelders. The owner of nearby resort has given us permission to place the cache, she actually helped to place and hide the cache. She will maintain it for us.

Drupkelders is a magnificent indigenous forest trail, which leads down to large magical rock pools. This is a great picnic and swimming spot so remember to take your costumes in order to enjoy the ice cold water. The walk to the pools takes about 40 minutes to walk (in one direction), for the last 10 minutes the path is very steep. Permits are required for the trail, which can be obtained from the nearby San parks permit office. The permit office is open from Monday to Friday 08:30-16:00. The permits cost R22 per adult. Please note that only 12 people are allowed in per day. To pre-book a permit you can contact Nana at Sanparks at (044) 302-5606. It is well worth the visit.
