Geocache Description:

The cache is a painted glass container.

MILIA Bridge now forgotten by many was the connection between the village of Platres which is high on the mountain and the villages at the base of Troodos mountain. The bridge is now part of the Milia Bridge Trail which is used for hiking and also by mountain bikers. The trail actually starts from Platres (just next to the Platres Sports Center) but you can also start from the end of the trail (which is the old Platres -  Pera-Pedi road).

There is currently a request by the Platres Youth Club to the Cyprus Forest Dept. to create a picnic area at the bridge. Hopefully within the next few years this will happen.

Please hide the cache as you found it or even better since although  this is a no hunting area many hunters pass from here and we dont want this cache to be mugled as was the first cache (

IMPORTANT: IN CASE YOU SPOT A FIRE OR SMOKE IN THE FOREST CALL: 1407

NOTES ON CYPRUS SNAKES: In case you are bitten by any snake DO NOT PANIC and visit the hospital asap (since even with the harmless to humans snakes you might be allergic to the venom). The Vipera Lebetina (Blunt Nosed Viper is almost unnoticeable due to its color and will make a sound if disturbed and before it attacks. It will not attack unless provoked so if you are face to face with one stay still) is VERY dangerous to humans and Highly Venomous. There are two more Venomous snakes in Cyprus but 'Harmless' to humans. The Malpolon Monspessulanus (Montpellier Snake will make a sound if disturbed and before it attacks) and the Telescopus Fallax (Cat Snake is very small and is actually a night snake). The very common Black snake of Cyprus is NOT venomous and not dangerous to humans.
