Geocache Description:

Small round box - can take TBs and small items of swag. NO PEN!

Gustav Holst (1874 - 1934), was born in Cheltenham.
He is most famous for his remarkable Suite: "The Planets".

The Gustav Holst Way is a medium distance route from Cranham to Wyck Rissington, via Cheltenham and Bourton.
It has five secitons:
Cranham Church to Crickley Hill
Crickley Hill to Holst Birthplace Museum, (Cheltenham)
Holst Birthplace Museum to Corndean Lane.
Corndean Lane to Guiting Power.
Guiting Power to Wyck Rissington.
Each of these places has some association with the composer, and the broad stretch of Cotswold country between them was also well known to Holst, who spent many pleasant days walking in the uplands and dales.

The GHW, adjoins the Cotswold Way nearby and the cache is placed some 16 metres from the trail because it runs through a Reserve and I wanted to keep the cache clear of any restricted areas.

The whole area is very popular with keen walkers because of the convergence of trails.
The Gloucestershire Way, The Wysis Way and (of course), the two previously mentioned. It is fantastic area for stepping out!!
