At GZ you will meet Khushi – a Hindu name meaning “happy”. A granite statue at the junction of Church Street and Avon Road was unveiled last December.
Khushi replaces the town’s old statue, which was destroyed by vandals in February 2007. Donated by the then WH Smith Do-it-All, the old statue had stood in the town centre since 1989. The much-loved landmark was named Canumbo – a mixture of Cannock and Jumbo.........
