Geocache Description:

One of my dearest cacher friends is a baseball fanatic so we felt this would be a great way to say thanks for all the caches he has placed in our area.

You will be looking for a black nano container.

For those of you who have spent any time with Semmels123, you will know he is a deranged Royals fan. And in reality, most baseball is good baseball as far he is concerned. So we thought it only fitting he get to share this cache with MY favorite NCAA team.

Frank Myers Baseball Complex was built in 1961. Frank Myers was baseball coach in 1921, assistant athletic director from 1926 to 1948, and director of intramural sports from 1948 to 1962.

In 2002, the Tointon Family Stadium renovation was completed. The stadium is named for Betty Brammell Tointon (Class of 1955) and Bob Tointon (Class of 1955).

One of the most picturesque baseball facilities in the nation, Tointon Family Stadium is nestled southwest of Bramlage Coliseum and sits comfortably among stately pine trees that line the entire outfield wall.
  • Year Opened: 1961
  • First Game: April 7, '61 (K-State 11, Iowa State 0)
  • Official Capacity: 2,331
  • Largest Crowd: 4,280 (May 15, 2009 vs. KU)
  • Dimensions: LF: 340', Gaps: 375', CF: 400', RF: 325'
  • Surface: AstroTurf GameDay Grass 3D60
  • Field Name: Frank Myers Field
If you get a chance you should come on a game day and try out the stadium for yourself!

Congrats to Semmels123 and Ladybug Rose on the FTF!!!
