Geocache Description:

short walk uphill from parking lot.

Difficulty of terrain varies because plant cover varies with season. In winter and spring, you can walk right up to it. In summer, the hill is covered with plants. Included is a fun little game to play with caterpillar photos (see description). You will find adorable handmade caterpillar swag and a cute caterpillar letterbox stamp and ink pad (not for trading).

Kids will like this cache. Being a lover of butterflies, I get a thrill every time I see one.  This is one of my 3 caches on the stages of a butterfly's life.  This is number two in the series. Since caterpillars are the second stage of a butterfly's life, you will find lots of caterpillars here. GAME: I was amazed at some of the crazy caterpillars photos I found. I thought you'd enjoy seeing them, too. There is a contest between the caterpillars which one of them is the coolest. You get to vote! Please JOT DOWN THE NAME of your favorite caterpillar and include it when you log in. There's room for swag trading and TBs.  Also a stamp and ink pad (NOT FOR TRADING) for all you letterboxers out there.  
The cache is within 6 feet of coordinates.
I went to some trouble to hide this well, so PLEASE put everything back as you found it or better.
Occasionally a muggle or 2 shows up in the parking lot, but not that often.
Be on the lookout for yellow jackets. There weren't any when I was there, but it's a possibility so take care. As this cache was placed on April Fools Day, there might be a little trick waiting to fool you. Just have a laugh on me. REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR THE COOLEST CATERPILLAR when you log!
