Part of the Manzy Kids Mall Walk, this one is on the trail near Hilltop Lake; a leisurely stroll on a pleasant trail.
We won this cache in a raffle at "Cache the Fever - Alamogul hits 75,000". It came with the log book and stocked with the items you see in there. Great prize! Thanks, Team BnE.
Each semester, teachers at the nearby charter middle school offer different 'Academies' to students. This spring, a teacher added a Geocaching Academy to the list. Other academies include cooking, chess, CSI, bicycling, martial arts, swimming at the nearby YMCA, woodshop, event planning, and bowling in Pinole. These classes meet once a week for two hours to expand horizons of the students.
To help with the new academy and help the kids "Get Out There", I'm placing some caches between the school and the mall, leaving a few spots in the park for the kids to place caches once they get a feel for the different types of cache and associated skills and stewardship.
