This is a small series of 5 caches placed in celebration of Mr kcvR’s retirement (well first retirement!) and placed along various routes enjoyed by the kcvR’s whilst walking on their island.
They can be done as a series or individually. The walk, if you do them all from the parking coordinates, is a circular route of approximately 4 miles and will probably take about 2 hours to do. To assist you get around the rather large holes on the circuit we have included various waypoints as help.
Car Parking (for the series) is at N50 33 146 W002 25 608 and is the same parking for our Why Oh Why cache (GC1MTFH).
kcvRetirement 4 is located at N50 32.986 W002 26.594
Once you have done the cache, continue into the quarry and follow the footpath to the right. On your right you will be able to see the two mine entrances burrowing underground under the Red Triangle Cricket field giving the cache its name. These are the only underground mines on the Island.
