Olaf Itoff: On second thought, as much as I like the hide and as much time as it took to work it out, I am seeing too much bark on the ground, probably from our little game. The Manzy Kids did find it, although they haven't logged it yet. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted.

Geocache Description:

NO NEED TO STEP OFF THE CURB! BE VERY CAREFUL OF TRAFFIC!

This is part of the Manzy Kids Mall Walk. By this time they have walked through the park and are near the mall. No need to step off the curb to find this cache, but a taller student will have an advantage.

No parking here. You have to walk a block or so to be legal.

Stick together, kids! I know you planned to walk this way, but at the intersection up ahead there is no crosswalk to get over to the mall. Your next assignment will be to find the nearest crosswalk.

Each semester, teachers at the nearby charter middle school offer different 'Academies' to students. This spring, a teacher added a Geocaching Academy to the list. Other academies include cooking, chess, CSI, bicycling, martial arts, swimming at the nearby YMCA, woodshop, event planning, and bowling in Pinole. These classes meet once a week for two hours to expand horizons of the students.

To help with the new academy and help the kids "Get Out There", I'm placing some caches between the school and the mall, leaving a few spots in the park for the kids to place caches once they get a feel for the different types of cache and associated skills and stewardship.
