Geocache Description:

Habel's Bend

This is a part of series for fellow geocachers to find caches throughout Loxton's district. This is an easy way for a tourist to come and explore Loxton. Loxton is a very friendly town which has a significant German heritage. The names of the locals such as Habel reflect this.

You may need a water bottle while you are working through the little series. Don't forget to wear good walking shoes and take a camera. A long arm may help you at GZ!!  [look everywhere! Don't give up]

This cache is situated next to the caravan park of Loxton and below the cliff with it's views, known by locals as Heaven. It is on the shore of the Murray River so it will be able to be found by car, or boat.

Habel's Bend is named after Emil Wilhelm Habel and his family, who settled near here more than 100 years ago. Relatives of this family still live in Loxton today!
