Geocache Description:

A short walk along an old railway line in the New Forest. You are looking for a 1 litre clip lock box.

The railway line from Brockenhurst to Dorchester was opened in 1847 and had been promoted by Charles Castleman. The circuitous route it took from Brockenhurst to Poole Junction became know as Castleman's Corkscrew. The railway closed to passengers in 1964 due to Dr Beeching and his report - The Reshaping of British Railways.

I hope you enjoy the walk and the cache.
There is an unactivated coin for the first to find.

This cache is on Forestry Commission land and has been placed in accordance with the GAGB - Forestry Commission Agreement. As part of this Agreement, it is not permitted to seek the cache during the hours of darkness.
